GENERAL INFORMATION
The United Benefice Great Gidding with Little Gidding and Steeple Gidding is part of the North Leightonstone Benefice within the Ely Diocese, the parish lying in the north west corner of the Huntingdon Deanery. The living of the Benefice is currently suspended.
Of the three churches in the Benefice, St Andrew’s Church, Steeple Gidding was declared redundant and closed in the early seventies. However the church remains consecrated, and is in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
St John’s Church, Little Gidding is designated a Chapel of Ease, and continues to be used for occasional services (see below). For details of the story of this historic church, visit the website at www.littlegiddingchurch.org.uk
The Church of St Michael, Great Gidding consists of a nave, chancel, north and south aisles, west tower and spire with a south facing porch. A church has stood on this site for some eight hundred years.

Sunday November 10th Remembrance Service at 10.45 am
Sunday December 1st Advent Carol Service at 6.00 pm
Sunday December 21st Christmas Carol Service at 6.00 pm
Sunday December 24th Christingle Service at 6.00 pm
On Tuesday of every week, there is a service of Morning Prayer at 8.30am. This service is taken by John De Val. It is suggested that you check with John De Val (tel: 293417) as on occasions this service may be cancelled.
If you are unable to attend church, and would like Holy Communion at home, this can again be arranged by contacting John De Val.
