Shortly,
we will be sending out a questionnaire so that everyone
will get a chance to have their say about social, economic
and environmental issues which are affecting them in our
community, and also their hopes and vision for the future
of Great and Little Gidding.
The whole Family can have their say
At the beginning of
July you will be receiving your very own copy of the
survey, which we hope will be very user friendly because
it certainly
wasn't creator friendly! The steering committee have
spent
many hours discussing the format and we hope that
we have covered every area that is important to each member
of
Great and Little Gidding. Just in case we have left
space for you to have you own say about issues we haven't
covered.
It's
important that the whole community is involved in this
project so please take the time to fill them
out, and if
this is difficult for you, please telephone Peter or
myself and arrangements can be made for someone to
help you.
Don't miss your chance to win cash prizes The questionnaires will be collected
on Wednesday 9th July so don't forget to have
them filled out
by then
as you
could miss out on cash prizes of up to £50.
Yes, we realise that we all need a little incentive
so when
we applied for
a grant from the Countryside Agency to produce the
Parish Plan, we included a bid for prizes.
The completed surveys will be anonymous so
you may be wondering how you will know if you've
won one of
the
draw prizes. This
little conundrum put us back several hours but we
hope that we've finally come up with a solution that will
suit everyone.
When your completed questionnaire is picked up by
a
willing and long suffering member of the steering
committee, he or she will provide you with a raffle ticket
and
the
winning
numbers will be drawn at the Church Fete on Saturday
July 19th. We realise that although most of us would
rather abseil
naked down Winwick's grass drying chimney than miss
this opportunity, but if you should have a more pressing
engagement,
the winning numbers will also be advertised in the
village shop.
