First Newt search of 2012

Searching for Newts 19th March 2012

On Monday evening Great Crested and Smooth Newts were found in Chapel End horse pond, along with toads and a pair of Moorhens.

This is really great news, as the pond is regenerating its self naturally.

   The second newt walk will take place on Monday 26th March, meet 7 pm at the shop. Will visit Chapel End pond, a pond in Mill Road and then Townsend Pond. If you have a powerful torch bring it along.
