Demolition about to start
Top Farm in Main Street, Great Gidding has long been semi derelict since the passing of Mr Harrison. The path side house was beginning to look very tired with quite a large crack appearing on the front wall. The farm consists of some low storage sheds and an Atcost farm building which I think has suffered two barn fires. Both times through hay overheating . But that was many years ago.
What we see now starting from October 2013 is the first signs of demolition, a protective barrier along the footpath. The obligatory elf and safety notice and sign to say who is developing the site.
