Mr STAVROS shares his secret…

Gidding certainly did go Greek last Saturday evening.

The well known and internationally renowned Mr STAVROS (8 Michelin stars) cooked for Gidding in a beautiful, authentically decorated taverna. Long trestle tables laden with olives, taramasalata, vine leaves stuffed with exotica to recite just a few, preceded the piece de la resistance ‘Moussaka Stavros Style’.

And here, for your very own delectation, Mr STAVROS has kindly agreed to share his absolute secret… with the world.

    We would like to take this opportunity to thank Great Gidding for showing their appreciation of the gods, and we will let the minor ones know what they missed. We were very impressed with the whole evening and henceforth will be replacing the never ending Ambrosia with a take away from the taverna of Mr Stavros every Friday night [and if Hera gets her way, Saturday as well].

    Everyone involved made it a wonderful evening and will not be forgotten when the next meeting of the gods decides on which village is going to get some rain….poor old Winwick.

    P.S. We know it’s a long time since we came down to earth but when did ukuleles replace the lyre?
