Now that the hedge bottoms and roadsides have been flailed in and around the village, the years harvest of plastic bottles and “take away” coffee cups can begin. A cursory inspection suggest a bountiful harvest of others peoples detritus that has found its way into hedge,ditch bottoms and verges.
Most important is that we carry this operation out in a safe manner. Nobody will be asked or should put themselves at risk. Stout gloves and a litter picking device which can be bought for the price of a “takeaway meal and drink” Anything we collect we stick in our grey, black bins to be collected in the usual manner.
